NORDIC walking is a technique that is similar to the upper body action of classic cross country skiing.
It becomes a whole body exercise that can be enjoyed at many levels and burn a whopping 46 per cent more calories than regular walking without poles.
Active Stirling have organised a range of Nordic walks starting in May.
The walks are free so go along and join in as you explore many different routes across central and rural Stirling.
Before you set up, you must first complete three consecutive weeks of training from one of the following blocks detailed below:-
Tuesday 9, 16 & 23 May, 7-8.30pm, Kings Park, Stirling.
Wednesday 10, 17 & 24 May, 1.30pm-3pm, Moray Park, Doune
To book your training session, please call Active Stirling’s bookings team on 01786 448308.
The cost is £20 for the three dates. Thereafter, all walks are free.
If the dates above are not suitable, please email walking@activestirling.org.uk and your details will be added to the waiting list.
Details of all Active Stirling’s Nordic walks can be found at activestirling.org.uk/nordicwalking
