POLICE in Dunfermline are appealing for witnesses after a 30-year-old dog-walker was assaulted in Duloch Park on Sunday.
The man was walking his dog on the public footpath to the north of the park around 10.15am when a stranger approached him and assaulted him.
The suspect is described as being a white male, around 5ft 8 inches tall with brown stubble.
He was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who was in the area around that time and who may have seen a male fitting that description to get in touch.
Detective Constable Alasdair Young, of Dunfermline CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area around that time.
“We’re particularly keen to speak to a couple who spoke to the victim shortly after the incident.”
