BOOKWORMS at Pittencrieff Primary School will be able to enjoy a whole range of reading material after a special shopping trip this week.
Earlier this year, Jason Tsantilas, Eve Murray and Louis Vesco won the regional Big Book Brain quiz and scooped £500 for new books.
They visited Scotia Books this week to spend their winnings.
Class teacher Kate Bruce said the children enjoyed being able to choose their own books.
“They chose a range of books for the different classes and also got to choose three books for themselves,” she said. “We are using them for the accelerated reading programme where the children have their own choice of reading material within a level.
“Each child chooses a book in their own level so it extends the range of choice available to them.”
