RIVER fun was flowing recently for the annual Limekilns River Festival.

Boats of all shapes and sizes stopped off to enjoy the occasion and visitors were treated to an array of entertainment and activities.

Organiser Bob Colquhoun said the event had been a great success.

“It went really well and we ended up pretty busy,” he said. “We had great weather for the raft race and the sail past – the second it stopped was when the torrential downpour arrived.

“There weren’t as many boats as we had hoped as the weather on Friday for the coming was a menace and meant a couple didn’t make it but generally it was a great weekend.”

As well as water action, there was also craft stalls, music, food and drink to keep visitors of all ages entertained.

“Forth Marine Logistics came and did rip trips and brought their jet boats which were a big plus and were fully booked out,” added Bob.

“A big thanks to everyone who was involved from Forth Cruising Club and to those who helped out over the weekend.”
