POLICE have confirmed a climber has fallen from cliffs near Aberdour.
The incident happened at 6.45pm this evening and was witnessed by dozen of families enjoying the summer sunshine.
Within the last few minutes, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police in Fife were called to the Hawkcraig area of Silver Sands beach in Aberdour around 6.45pm on Tuesday, 18th July, following a report that a climber had fallen from the cliff.
"Emergency services remain in attendance and further updates will be provided when possible."
Emergency services were at Aberdour's Silver Sands earlier this afternoon after three children were reported missing.

Police Scotland confirmed that the three children were found 'safe and well' following the full-scale search.
