THE internationally acclaimed Chinese State Circus are swinging by Dunfermline for their new five day innovative production.

The new touring show, 'Dynasty' is the latest showcase from the world-renowned circus that has been touring and thrilling audiences for years.

It arrives in the town at Duloch Park on Tuesday 15 to Sunday August 20.

Chinese acrobats, aerial artistes and jugglers interact with the physical skills and dexterity of the masters of martial arts, the legendary Shaolin Warriors.

The show projects into a contemporary setting an art form where low-tech everyday objects are transformed into hi-tech acrobatic equipment.

The non-stop action from start to finish is accompanied by a soaring musical score with the rhythmic beats of Chinese percussion.

The history of the Chinese State Circus spans 25 years and was conceived by creative director Phillip Gandey.

He became the first circus director in Europe to obtain permissions from the Chinese authorities to tour a Big Top production of his own creation performed entirely by Chinese acrobats.

"In our latest production we have returned to the pure and honest perfection in acrobatics upon which our reputation is based,” said Phillip.

"We have the world class artistes capable of performing the excellence required.”
