CROSSFORD residents are to be consulted over fresh plans for a housing development on land south of Pitconnochie Farm.

The Stewart Milne Group has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice for a residential development, access roads, landscaping and other associated infrastructure at the site on Lundin Road.

It is not the first time either. Back in 2014, they put in a similar application to Fife Council for plans which they hoped would add 200 new homes to the village.

It was met with opposition from local residents as it was against the Fife Plan as the land had not been earmarked for development.

Crossford Community Council told the Press they were unable to comment until they had discussed the latest proposals at their meeting later this month.

When the previous application went in, the community council was against any development at the site.

As part of the PAN, the developers have promised to consult with politicians and the community council.

Two public exhibitions will also take place in the Keavil House Hotel on August 23 and September 12 from 11am until 8pm.

The drop in sessions will provide information and representatives from the project team will be on hand to answer questions.

No-one was available when the Press contacted the Stewart Milne Group for comment.
