A MAN was arrested and charged with assault of the Dunfermline Golf Club head professional on Sunday.
Chris Nugent was taken to hospital by ambulance after a dispute with a 68-year-old man led to the club pro suffering a suspected broken arm at around 8.15am.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police in Dunfermline have arrested and charged a 68-year-old man following an assault at Dunfermline Golf Club on Sunday 13th August.
"The assault occurred around 8.15 am when a member of staff suffered a serious arm injury during an altercation in the golf club.
"The man will appear in court on Thursday 7th September."
