FIFE Farmers market is leaving its home of more than a decade.

The lack of footfall at the Glen Gates in Dunfermline has resulted in the market moving location after 12 years.

It will now be held outside Dobbies Garden Centre at Fife Leisure Park this Saturday from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

It will then continue to run on the second Saturday of every month.

Barbara Wardlaw, market co-ordinator, said: "It's with a sadness that we have to announce that we are moving after all these years.

"However, people have told us how much parking in the town was a problem to them and our footfall has fallen badly.

"We're thrilled to bits that we've been able to work with Dobbies to host it there.

"Our stalls have more variety this year as well as a cooking demonstration with chef Christopher Trotter."

Free parking is available.
