A CLOTHES swap in Dunfermline tomorrow will help promote alternative ways to get your hands on some new items.

Girl Guide Cara Loizidou is involved in an advocacy programme called 'Action for Change' and wants to help stop the throwaway culture in today's society.

She hopes the clothes swap will also promote awareness of unethical issues in manufacturing.

Cara said: "By swapping your clothes you are not only getting a brand new wardrobe but you are also finding a new lease of life for unloved clothes.

"This is good for the environment as these clothes aren't thrown away. It also discourages people from buying cheap and unethical clothes."

The event will run from 11am to 1pm on Saturday in Dunfermline Abbey church hall.
