SEVEN Sea Cadets from Rosyth will take part in a spectacular show of formal parading in London to mark Trafalgar Day this weekend.
They will join about 400 Sea Cadets from across the UK at the iconic event this Sunday, October 22, with the parade accompanied by an 80-strong marching band.
They will parade from The Mall to Trafalgar Square.
Cadets from TS Fife SCC will form part of the display.
Trafalgar Day is a chance to showcase skills and talents to London’s spectators and tourists, as well as highprofile guests.
Rosyth Sea Cadets’ Commanding Officer, Sub Lieutenant (SCC) Ty Stock RNR, said: “We are delighted to be involved with this event, and our cadets have worked so hard to be there. It’s a big reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion these young people have invested throughout the year that they can deliver such a show-stopping parade. We are really proud of them.”
TS Fife SCC is part of national youth charity Sea Cadets, which offers water-based and land-based adventure to young people aged 10 to 18, at 400 units across the country.
The unit is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 6.45pm to 9.00pm and meets at HMS Scotia, MoD Caledonia.
