FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a fire close to another West Fife school just over 24 hours after the Cairneyhill blaze.
Crews were called out to Woodmill High School shortly before 10pm on Saturday night after receiving a report of a fire close to its grounds.
The incident was dealt with swiftly by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, who said it appeared that rubbish had been lit in the open to the rear of the school's grounds on Shields Road,
A spokeswoman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 9.49pm on Saturday, December 9 to reports of a fire near a school in Dunfermline.
"Operations Control immediately mobilised one appliance to the scene and firefighters extinguished a small fire involving rubbish.
"Crews left the scene at 10.12pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
