A POPULAR West Fife restaurant closed its doors for the final time last weekend.

The Eastern Buffet on the Fife Leisure Park shut on Sunday.

A post on the business’ Facebook page said it was “with great sadness” that they were ceasing trading and added that “the time was right” to move onto pastures new.

The eaterie has been at the leisure park since 2007 and the decision follows the closure of its sister restaurant in New Row in September.

The statement on Facebook said the business had had an “eventful and enjoyable” 14 years of trading in Dunfermline.

“We have met many wonderful people and would like to thank you for your business and loyalty,” it said.

“A huge thank you must go out to all the staff over the years.

“We appreciate all your hard work and genuinely felt like one big happy family. We will miss every one of you.”

The Press contacted the restaurant for more details, however, management did not wish to comment further.
