A BLOCK of flats in Rosyth have been cordoned off by police investigating a reported assault on a woman.

Officers have been at the scene in Caledonia Court - situated behind a petrol station on Primrose Lane - since this morning as part of their enquiries.

The incident, said to involve a 32-year-old, took place just before midnight last night.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Fife are investigating following the reported assault of a 32-year-old woman in Rosyth.

"The incident happened around 11.50pm on Thursday 11 January in the Caledonia Court area.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Dunfermline Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0018 of 12 January."
