SNOW and ice could hit West Fife on Monday and Tuesday.

The Met Office has issued a yellow 'be aware' warning of snow and ice for the county, covering the period from 6pm on Monday to 11.55pm on Tuesday.

It says that frequent and heavy snow showers could affect the area from Monday evening onwards, with travel delays possible and a small chance of power cuts.

Untreated roads and pavements are also likely to become icy during this time, creating a skid and slip hazard.

Travel delays on roads are possible, with a small chance of cancellations to public transport.
