A MAN is set to appear in court today (Wednesday) after reportedly throwing rocks at drivers in Dunfermline town centre.
At around 3.45pm, police were called out to the disturbance at Carnegie Retail Park on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Fife were in attendance at Carnegie Retail Park in Dunfermline when officers responded to a disturbance around 3.45pm on Tuesday 23 January.
"Road closures were put in place to ensure the safety of the public and motorists are thanked for their patience during this time.
"The incident was resolved peacefully and an 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with this.
"He is due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 24 January."
Carnegie Drive was closed between Pilmuir Street and the Sinclair Gardens roundabout and drivers faced delays stuck in tailbacks for up to an hour.
Public transport was also affected with Stagecoach East Scotland apologising for the disruption to services.
