POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a report of 'suspicious behaviour' in the female toilets of a Dunfermline supermarket.

Officers are looking to speak to a young girl, between the age of 11 and 13, and a man who was with her after the incident at Asda Halbeath last Thursday, at around 8.30pm.

The girl is described as being around 5ft3 and 5ft5 inches tall, of a slim build with brown hair possibly tied in a ponytail or bun.

She was wearing a grey hoodie with "54" printed in large white print on the front.

She was also wearing black leggings and green trainers.

DCI Scott Cunningham said: “We are looking to identify and trace the young girl in relation to a report of suspicious behaviour/circumstances to assist with ongoing enquiries. She was in the company of a man after the incident and both are witnesses we are keen to speak to.

"I am appealing to anyone who has any information or recognises the young girl to please contact us."

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident reference number 3431 of 8th February.
