TWO Pars stars went back to school when they visited youngsters at Bellyeoman Primary.

Sean Murdoch and Lewis Martin popped in to see Primary 7 pupils as part of the Pars Tackle Health programme.

The youngsters took part in a workshop which focused on health and wellbeing and allowed the children to look at the diet of professional footballers and their fitness regime.

They also talked about resilience and the importance of a growth mindset – something the Primary 7s have been learning about in class.

The footballers joined the class for a short game at the end of the session and some of the children were also given the opportunity to go to East End Park to Dunfermline’s game against Greenock Morton.

Class teacher Elaine Little said the session had gone very well.

She added: “It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to speak with the players and hear them talk about how to manage emotions and always try your best whether it is in the classroom or on the pitch.”
