McDonald's have created 30 new jobs in Dunfermline after a digital transformation.

The restaurant at Fife Leisure Park is one of Scotland's busiest and reopened on Thursday after a major makeover.

To improve the speed and ease of ordering, customers will now be able to use one of five new self-order kiosks.

The move enables customers the chance to browse the menu, personalise their meals and order before collection at the till.

Table service has also been introduced to take the stress out of finding a table while carrying food.

Franchisee Adam Buchanan-Smith, who owns and operates the Fife Leisure Park restaurant, said: “These changes are designed to make our customers’ experience as positive as possible whether that’s providing people with a chance to get to grips with using a tablet in a relaxed environment, or providing parents with a quick and easy way of ordering their food.

"I’m really excited about the new changes and am thrilled that I have been able to create 30 additional jobs for people in the local community.”
