High winds are expected to hit West Fife on Thursday with gusts between 50 and 60mph likely.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind, which is in place from 3am to 3pm.
Gusts are expected to pick up first thing in the west of Scotland but will move eastwards as the day goes on.
There is a small chance this will mean longer journeys for rail, road and air services.
There is also potential for damage to buildings, power cuts and dangerous conditions by the sea.
Also watch out for flying debris.
