A 16-YEAR-OLD youth has appeared in court following a violent incident at Inverkeithing High School.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted that on August 24, at the school, Hillend Road, he assaulted a boy then aged 12 by forcibly striking his head whereby it hit against a metal railing to his injury.
He also admitted that in Inverkeithing on the following day, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, repeatedly making abusive remarks and threatening police officers with violence.
Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports and the youth will be sentenced on August 8.
