A DRINK-DRIVER was three times over the legal limit and did not hold a valid licence when caught behind the wheel in Dalgety Bay.
The incident led to a lengthy ban for Marc Preston, 27, formerly of Tweed Street, Dunfermline, now of Kilnbank Lane, Kirriemuir.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, Preston admitted that on January 27 at Markfield Road, Dalgety Bay, he drove a vehicle without a valid licence, being the holder of an expired provisional licence and that he also drove without insurance.
He also admitted he drove having consumed excess alcohol. His reading was 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.
Preston was fined £450 and banned from driving for four and a half years.
