An Inverkeithing man who ignored a driving ban to drive home from a barbecue has been given another disqualification.
Robert Gray, 33, of Whinnyhill Crescent, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on July 14 at Bridge Street, Cowdenbeath, he drove a vehicle while disqualified and without insurance.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf told the court Gray was seen driving by police at 8.15pm and checks showed he was disqualified.
When stopped he admitted he was banned and had no insurance.
The court was told Gray had been at a barbecue with his partner at a friend’s house. When his partner became unwell because of the heat, he decided to drive her home.
Sheriff Craig McSherry fined Gray £1,200 and banned him from driving for 12 months.
