STRAP yourself in for a night with two award-winning Scottish musicians at the Carnegie Hall this autumn.
The honest, sentimental tones of Arab Strap founder Aidan Moffat and the guitar mastery of RM Hubbert will come together at the theatre to mark the release of their new collaborative LP.
Having previously worked together for 2012 single Car Song, they reunited for the now critically-acclaimed release, Here Lies The Body.
“The album title has a dual meaning – sex and death. It can be read as romantic surrender but of course it’s also a phrase you’ll find on a tombstone,” says Moffat.
The record follows the story of a chance encounter between two old flames as they enjoy hen and stag parties in Blackpool.
Exploring the classic themes such as love, family and death, it moves through to less-covered topics including Schrodinger’s cat, the multiverse and marshmallows.
Released on Mogwai’s Rock Action label in May, the album can be heard at the Carnegie Hall on Thursday, October 11.
Siobhan Wilson, who provides guest vocals and cello, and former Arab Strap drummer, David Jeans, will join the duo for their debut live appearance in Fife.
The tickets go on sale at 10am tomorrow (Friday) morning and cost £15.
