A 60-YEAR-OLD Dalgety Bay woman has appeared in court from custody after being caught drink-driving when almost five times over the limit.

In the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was Rachel Fisher, of Fordell Bank.

She admitted that on September 7, at Moray Way North, Dalgety Bay, she drove a car having consumed excess alcohol. Her reading was 109 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.

Depute fiscal Sarah Lumsden said the Crown would be seeking forfeiture of the vehicle.

Defence solicitor Selina Mackay said: “The vehicle is worth around £4,500 and she hasn’t been in any kind of trouble before.”

Sheriff Charles MacNair called for reports and Fisher will be sentenced on October 3. He imposed a temporary driving ban until then and ordered the vehicle to be seized for the forfeiture motion to be considered at sentencing.
