A DUNFERMLINE teenager attacked another man in a restaurant after previously sending him threatening messages.
Shea Donnelly, 19, of Kent Street, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that between May 25-26, he sent threatening text messages to the complainer.
Donnelly also admitted that on June 7, at Antioch, Bridge Street, Dunfermline, he assaulted his victime by seizing him by the clothing, punching him on the face, causing him to fall to the ground and thereafter punched him on the head, all to his injury.
Depute fiscal Alistair McDermid said: “The assault occurred at 10.10pm and involved the accused, unprovoked, punching the complainer five or six times to the face and body.”
The text messages previously sent included: “Dead man” and “I’m coming for you”.
Defence solicitor David McLaughlin said: “The complainer had been winding Mr Donnelly up about the being an ex-partner of his girlfriend.”
Sheriff Craig McSherry fined Donnelly £600 and ordered him to pay £250 compensation.
