IN WHAT could be described as a modern day Cinderella story, the search is on for a young West Fifer so she can buy a new pair of shoes.

An envelope has been found at a Dunfermline show home which appears to have been a special gift from loving grandparents.

The rain soaked present, addressed to Emily, was found in a garden at Dundas Homes' Annfields development by sales negotiator Irene Wilson.

On the front, it states: "To Emily, from Granda and Granny, to buy your new shoes xxx."

It is thought that the envelope fell from the girl's pocket and Irene issued a heartfelt plea to the Press to help get it back to the rightful owner.

"The little girl will be so disappointed to have lost the envelope," she said. "She has lost her money for her shoes and we really want to get it back to her.

"People are coming and going here all the time and having a look. When they come into the showhomes, they don't always leave their details."
