A RAINY day brought this diamond couple together at the dancing in Cowdenbeath and they're still in step after 60 years of marriage.
Doreen and Ian Marshall, who ran a butcher's shop in Inverkeithing before they retired, celebrate their anniversary today (March 14).
They were married on this day in 1964 and a member of the family told the Press: "The couple met at the Cowdenbeath Palais in 1960 when rainy weather brought Ian to the dancing instead of his usual weekend cycling run.
"They have been dancing together ever since.
"Ian and Doreen worked together in their butcher's shop in Fraser Avenue, Inverkeithing, for many years before their retirement in 1999.
