A new theatre show of Jane Austen’s first full-length work from 1794, based entirely on letters, is coming to Dunfermline’s Carnegie Hall.

Austen’s Women: Lady Susan, comes from Dyad Productions, who create, produce, and tour classical theatre with a contemporary emphasis.

Performed by Rebecca Vaughan, and directed by Andrew Margerison, the show follows the black widow, Lady Susan, as she hunts down two fortunes.

It also follows oppressed, rebellious daughter Frederica; long-suffering sister-in-law Catherine; family matriarch Mrs De Courcy; and insouciant best friend, Alicia.

Lady Susan will be performed in Carnegie Hall on Friday, April 12, at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased from OnFife.
