AFTER a lot of hard work and dedication a Dunfermline Musical theatre group impressed their audiences during a successful run of Oliver!

Why Not? Musical Theatre Company welcomed big crowds to their performances at Carnegie Hall last week.

The group of nine to 18 year-olds worked hard to put on their own production of Lionel Bart's Oliver!, which is based on the 1838 novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, and follows the story of a starving orphan as he navigates the mean streets of London.

Audience members enjoyed their performance and took to the Why Not? Musical Theatre Company's Facebook page to share their thoughts.

One wrote: "The show was amazing, the orchestra were superb, so many youngsters 9-19 performing as if they were born to be on stage. Thank you to all the many people in the background making it as special as it was."

Another added: "The show was amazing. Massive well done to all the cast and crew. Can tell how much hard work has gone into the production."
