The Rotary Club of West Fife, local opticians, and businesses are collaborating on a new project that recycles glasses.

The SpecSort Project ensures that your discarded spectacles find a new lease of life under the diligent coordination of Ruth and Colin Perrott. The project was inspired by the visionary initiative of the Rotary Club of York Ainsty.

Once collected, the glasses undergo a meticulous process of sorting, cleaning, and grading. These refurbished spectacles embark on a journey to Africa, where they become invaluable aids to those who need them.

Diagnostic clinics are set up and the glasses are then distributed to communities across various African nations.
