A Halbeath group are trying to boost community spirit with an upcoming multi-activity event.

Halbeath Tenants and Residents Association are holding their event at the Nursery and Community Space next Saturday (May 11).

They have asked the community to join them for a litter pick, where they will concurrently have a car boot sale, and a table top and craft sale in the hall. There will also be a café running from 10am to 2pm.

Ron Birnie, chair of the committee, said: "The old community centre was demolished several years ago to allow a nursery and community space to be built and this is the first time we have held an event at the premises.

"In the past Halbeath held galas and other events which were well attended so we decided to bring the community spirit back to Halbeath."

The cost of a table or car boot is £5, and the entire wider community is invited to join in the fun.

Participants are asked to park in the upper car park located at Fife College and meet at Halbeath Nursery, for 10am on Saturday, May 11.
