Hugo's Bar & Pavilion held a bank holiday fun day on Sunday, May 5.

The venue in Dalgety Bay had an exciting afternoon lined up for locals with live music, bouncy castles, face painting, and Jimmy D playing music in the evening.

The event also helped raise money for their charity partner, That Place in the Bay. There was a raffle and lots of yummy cakes on offer to help raise funds for defibrillators around Dalgety Bay.

Hugo's next partner charity will be the Cookie Jar Foundation.

Iain Leslie, general manager at Hugo's, said that the event was “phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal".

“It was an outstanding turnout,” he added.

Demand for food was high during the afternoon.

Iain continued: “At one point we had to put the kitchen on hold for about 45 minutes, food just kept flowing. So we had a barbecue and we just made sure that everybody was fed and well-watered.

“It just made a really good success story.”

The venue also changed its menu so it was more of diverse, mixing traditional pub food with up-and-coming street food.

Anyone wanting to be in the main pavilion area had to book it in advance, and these sold out quickly.

Iain said: “It just shows that the local community are really getting behind us.”
