A 57-year-old woman whose body was found on the shore at Dalgety Bay on Saturday afternoon has still not been named by police.
Police Scotland have said that the death of the woman was not believed to be suspicious.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a body of a 57-year-old woman was discovered on the shore near St Colme Road in Dalgety Bay at around 3pm on Saturday, November 12th.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending the result of a post mortem examination however there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.
"Next of kin has been informed and officers are continuing to offer them support at this difficult time."
