In last week's Press we published a story about the Ministry of Defence's plans to clean up Dalgety Bay's radiation-contaminated beach.
Our report said that the MoD had agreed to meet the costs of maintaining the coastal defences in the longer term.
However, this information is inaccurate. We are happy to clarify that the MoD has agreed in principle to implement measures outlined in the Dalgety Bay Management Strategy Report, providing it obtains firm agreement from Fife Council, through further detailed discussions, to meet the costs of maintaining the coastal defences into the longer term.
The Press would like to apologise for the error.
