A DALGETY Bay lawyer was found dead at his home last week.

Clive Franks (60), of Edinburgh-based law firm Franks Macadam Brown, was discovered last Monday evening.

Mr Franks was a committee member of Dalgety Bay Sailing Club and was one of the defenders against a legal bid to have the will of West Fife businessman Alf Stewart overturned.

Gifford Bruce, on behalf of the Alfred Stewart Trust, said, “We are deeply saddened by Clive’s death. He was an integral part of the charitable work carried out by the Alfred Stewart Trust and, through this, made a valuable contribution to charities and community groups in West Fife.

“Our condolences are with his wife and daughters at this time.” Police Scotland said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokesperson said, “Police in Fife responded after the body of a 60-year-old man was found within a property in Dalgety Bay around 4.30pm on Monday 10th November.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
