At around 11am on Wednesday 15th April they heard someone in the house and caught the would-be thief red-handed before he ran off. The suspect has been described as male, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft and of slim build.
He made away with nothing from the break-in.
Police are appealing for information, asking anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area to contact them on 101.
