POLICE in Fife are investigating a theft of items worth an estimated £4,750 from an industrial estate at Lathalmond near Dunfermline

The incident happened between 11.40am and 12.40pm on Sunday January 8, when two men arrived in a white Ford Transit.

The men forced their way into a number of freight containers and stole items including three sets of alloy wheels, a pressure washer, a metal ladder and aluminium staging equipment with an estimated total of £4,750.

The alloy wheel sets included four Compomotive MO6 16" Alloy wheels fitted with budget tyres, four BBS DTM 16” Alloy wheels fitted with Yokohama Slick tyres and two Speedline Alessio alloy wheels fitted with Yokohama tyres.

The first suspect is described as a white man with a medium build and around 5ft 6” in height.

He was wearing a long sleeved top, which is believed to be navy blue from chest area to sleeves, with a lower grey half and white badge on left chest area. 

He was also wearing a dark coloured balaclava, light denim jeans and beige Timberland-style boots.

The second suspect is described as a white man with a slim build and around 6ft in height.

He was wearing a dark grey balaclava, a dark grey/black raincoat jacket with dark jeans and white trainers.

Police Constable Kevin Daglish of Dunfermline Police Station said: “This incident has resulted in the theft of a number of high value items, which we are eager to recover.

“We are eager to trace the men responsible for this theft as soon as possible. I would ask anyone who was in the Lathalmond area on Sunday, January 8, and remembers seeing the two men or the Ford Transit van to come forward immediately.

“The alloy wheels are very rare. With this in mind I would urge anyone who has come across these stolen items to get in touch with us.  All reports can be dealt with in the strictest of confidence or we can reported via Crimestoppers.”
