LIMELIGHT Productions are back as they put on Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the Alhambra.

It's their fourth production in just two years and with Limelight Youth putting on their debut show, Little Shop of Horrors, in June, and the success of the adult group’s Scrooge show at the end of last year, the company will have completed a total of seven shows in three years.

Based on the Oscar-winning movie, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is the uplifting story of two drag artists and a transgender woman who hop aboard a battered old bus named Priscilla, searching for love and friendship.

They end up on a journey of self-discovery and the road trip of a lifetime.

This wildly fresh and funny Olivier and Tony award-winning musical features a hit parade of dance floor favourites including Don’t Leave Me This Way, I Will Survive, It’s Raining Men, Go West, Hot Stuff and Shake Your Groove Thing.

Grab your friends and get ready to dance in the aisles on this bus trip straight to the heart of fabulous, which began its journey last night (Wednesday) and continues through to Saturday night.

There is frequent bad language and sexual references so parental discretion is advised.

Tickets are £16 or £13 for concessions and there are offers available for groups of 10 people or more.

Tickets are available from Limelight’s box office on 01383 738822, online at ticketmaster.co.uk or through the Alhambra Theatre’s box office on 01383 740384.
