DUNFERMLINE charity Circle of Comfort celebrated its 10th anniversary in style by raising over £12,000 in partnership with the Rotary Club of West Fife.

The total was split between the two groups after a charity spring dance at the Forrester Park Golf Resort in Cairneyhill.

Circle of Comfort, which has provided more than 3,800 individual massage, aromatherapy or reflexology treatments to cancer patients, was set up in 2007 and received a Great Scot Award in 2016.

“I can’t believe it’s 10 years since I founded this charity,” said Roseann Haig.

“When we started we offered complementary treatments to people with a diagnosis of cancer in Fife. Now we cover not just the whole of Fife but also Perthshire and will be expanding to provide treatments to anyone with a diagnosed chronic health condition.

“It’s been an incredible journey setting up and developing this charity and I have met some truly inspiring people along the way."

She thanked the rotary club, its president David Riddell and sponsor Specsavers for helping them celebrate.

In addition, Circle of Comfort and fellow charity Safe Space have each received £1,000 from Persimmon Homes' charity initiative.

Anyone with a cancer diagnosis, or someone on their behalf, can call Roseann on 07740 104712 to ask about complementary therapy treatments.
