Step back in time and dress dapper for the 1940s tea dance at the Glen Pavilion this month.
Playlist for Life will be hosting the glamourous event on August 19 and the best part is funds raised will help families affected by dementia.
Playlist for Life was established by broadcaster Sally Magnusson to raise awareness of how music can act as life line for those with dementia.
By creating a personal playlist, the listener can be transported back to a person, place or time in their lives through their individual, intimate connection to the music.
The charity helps families create playlist of songs that give those dementia a 'flashback moment' using software and MP3 players.
Fiona Haro, partner at Thomson Cooper's and Treasurer for the charity commented on last year’s Tea Dance: “The Tea Dance last year was hugely enjoyable.
"A fun evening in great company where we raised a lot of money for this worthy charity. I am honoured to be a part of a charity that helps those with dementia restore a sense of self at time when the disease feels too much.”
Tickets are £20 each available from Thomson Cooper Accountants, The Fire Station Creative and Munroe’s Hairdressing and Beauty. Call Fiona on 01383 628800 if you need more information.
