Police are investigating an incident at Dunfermline High School after a pupil was taken to hospital with a head injury.
The incident took place on Friday morning but no further details surrounding the circumstances of the event have been made know at this stage of the inquiry.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police in Fife are investigating following a report of a 12-year-old boy sustaining a head injury at a school in Dunfermline.
“The incident happened around 11.20am on Friday, November 10. The boy has been taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for further treatment.
“Inquiries into the full circumstances are currently ongoing.”
