A VISITOR to Dunfermline, who assaulted a man and woman in the street, is behind bars after the violence was captured on CCTV.
Offshore worker Daniel Mallet, 27, from Country Durham, became involved in an altercation outside Life nightclub, which continued up Kirkgate.
He admitted that on June 4 at Kirkgate, Dunfermline, he assaulted a man under provocation by punching him whereby he fell to the ground, kicked him and punched him on the head to his injury.
He also admitted assaulting a woman by kicking her on the body to her injury.
Depute fiscal Alex Piper showed Dunfermline Sheriff Court the video of the incident which occurred at around 3.15am, starting outside the nightclub.
Mallet is seen attacking the first victim twice and then kicking the woman.
Defence solicitor Sarah Meehan said her client worked offshore as a rope access painter.
After seeing the CCTV, Sheriff Craig McSherry told Mallet: “It’s my intention to impose a custodial sentence so I’m going to remand you in custody.”
He called for reports and Mallet will be sentenced on December 14.
