A SECOND man has admitted his part in a vicious attack on a Dunfermline bar worker, just before last Christmas.

The victim was attacked, knocked unconscious and then had his head stamped on during the course of the horrific assault, causing severe injury.

Scott Simpson, 25, of Oswald Avenue, Grangemouth, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on December 21 at Tappie Toories, Kirkgate, whilst acting with another, he assaulted a man by punching him on the head and while he was on the ground he repeatedly punched him and repeatedly kicked and stamped on his head and body, rendering him unconscious, all to his injury.

He also admitted that he assaulted another man by repeatedly attempting to punch him and kicked him on the body.

Sheriff Charles MacNair deferred sentence on Simpson for reports until January 9 and bail was continued.

He will return to court to be sentenced along with a Dunfermline man who had previously admitted his part in the incident.

David Robertson, 34, of Pentland Terrace, admitted that whilst acting with others, he assaulted the first man by punching him on the face, causing him to fall to the ground and thereafter repeatedly punched him on the head and body, repeatedly kicked and stamped on his head, rendering him unconscious, all to his severe injury.
