A MAN and a woman have been arrested and charged following a £50,000 cocaine raid in Dunfermline.

The pair, aged 25 and 22, were detained following the execution of a warrant at an address in Clunie Road, on Saturday.

Officers recovered a quantity of cocaine with an approximate value of £50,000 and cannabis resin worth around £515.

An imitation firearm was also seized along with other drug paraphernalia.

The man and woman appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Chief Inspector Scott Cunningham said: “The supply and misuse of drugs devastates lives and has an adverse impact on our whole society.

“The curtailing of this activity is a priority my officers, who have been tackling this type of criminality through Operation Prospect, Fife Division’s response to the misuse and supply of drugs.

“Drug-dealing and misuse is the second-highest priority for communities from the Your View Counts survey and we continue to encourage anyone with information about such activity in their area to get in touch with us immediately.”
