TRAINER restoration store ‘SOSneaky’ has found its new home at Studio 15 in the Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline.

Owner Ross Paterson turned a 20-year obsession with collecting trainers into a business that revamps your favourite footwear just 10 months ago.

Now the sneakers extraordinaire is moving into a creative space which he hopes can become a catalyst for greater things, such as trainer exhibitions in the gallery downstairs.

The Dunfermline man, of Pitcorthie Drive, said: “I’ve been in limbo for a couple of weeks because the lease on my studio was up in Canmore Street.

“I was working at home and running around in a mad dash delivering trainers, so I’m chuffed I’ve got the space at the Fire Station!

“It’s perfect for me because it’s a creative business and I get to work alongside other people in artistic professions.

“You have to be voted in by the other tenants, so I’m pleased I’ve got their seal approval!”

SOSneaky has gone from strength to strength in the last 10 months and Ross is now looking to take on staff to keep up with the high demand.

When the business owner featured in the pages of the Press last year he hoped he would be able to create an exhibition of his trainers the Fire Station Creative and it looks like his dreams will come true!

He added: “It’s all looking good and the business has been absolutely incredible.

“A large proportion of my business is coming from out of Scotland and I’m currently working on trainers that have come from Hungry and Denmark.

“It just seems to be getting bigger and better and it’s all happened in such a short space of time.”
