A ‘FLASH MOB’ added sparkle to Saturday shopping at the Kingsgate Centre.

Dancers were modelling the latest fashion from retailers for this spring/summer season as well as busting out some moves.

The fashion extravaganza included Fife College students showcasing their designs with a catwalk show and pop-up shop – inspiring the next generation of local talent.

Neil Mackie, centre manger at the Kingsgate, said: “This is something we’ve done for the last few years now and it’s always fantastic showcasing the summer and spring fashions.

“Rightly, we invited back Fife College who have some fantastic young designers.

“Their show this year was very tasteful and professional and featured bespoke day wear to evening wear that had real panache and incredible style.

“The flash mob was rotated throughout the centre outside Debenhams, Marks & Spencer’s and the upper mall, and it seemed to go down well with people. The company we use are all professional dancers and models who are the real McCoy and the event has had a really positive impact on retailers.

“We have seen conversion in people buying the products modelled in the shops.

“This is only good news for our retailers.”

Carnegie Dunfermline Rotary Club were also at the event raising cash with face-painting and giving kids the chance to get their picture taken with the Easter bunny.
