TWO men have appeared in court accused of carrying out a robbery and assault to severe injury in Dunfermline.
Appearing on petition at Dunfermline Sheriff Court were Barry Rankine, 30, and Stuart Fisher, 53, both from Dunfermline.
It is alleged that on April 1 at Inglis Lane, they assaulted a man by striking him on the head with a bottle, pushing him to the ground, repeatedly punching and kicking him on the head and body whilst he was on the ground, to his severe injury, and robbing him of cash.
Rankine made no plea, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Fisher made no plea, was also committed for further examination and was granted bail by Sheriff Simon Collins.
