The band will switch on new floodlighting in a Fife Council funded project designed to show off the city's many historic buildings and features, including the City Chambers and Dunfermline Abbey.

Councillor Helen Law, acting chair of the City of Dunfermline area committee, said, "The council has contributed £145,000 towards this project that will see new lighting around iconic buildings and landmarks in the city centre.

"The City Chambers, Glen Gates, Andrew Carnegie statue, Dunfermline Abbey and Carnegie Library are just some of the buildings now benefitting from the new floodlighting and uplighters that will showcase their historically significant features and help improve the appearance of the city at night."

Nazareth will be switching on the lights from the balcony of the City Chambers at 7.30pm tomorrow, with Councillor Law adding, "I hope that lots of people will come out and help create a great atmosphere in our city. We've got a city to be proud of and our new lighting will help show it off to best effect."
