WITHIN the last few minutes, councillors have voted to close Pitcorthie Primary School.
Members of the council's executive committee has just voted by 13 votes to 4 to close the school at a meeting in Glenrothes.
Members of the Save Pitcorthie Primary campaign group attended the meeting and are now likely to ask the Scottish Government to call the decision in - as has happened with the decision to close Wellwood Primary School.
